Our Process

Step-by-step quality checks ensuring precision and reliability.

Sourcing of Forged Raw Flanges
  • Forged flange blanks are sourced from approved forging partners.

  • Raw material is procured as per required ASTM material grades (e.g., A105, A350 LF2, A182 F304/F316).

  • Each forging batch is supplied with Mill Test Certificate (MTC).

  • Heat number identification is maintained for full traceability.

Incoming Raw Material Inspection

Before machining, the forged blanks undergo:

  • Visual inspection for cracks and surface defects

  • Dimensional verification (OD, ID, thickness, hub dimensions)

  • Heat number verification

  • MTC review and documentation

  • Optional PMI testing (if project-required)

  • Only approved materials move to machining stage.

Forged blanks are machined as per ASME B16.5 dimensional standards.

Typical operations include:

  • Facing operation

  • OD turning

  • Bore machining

  • Hub profiling (for Weld Neck flanges)

  • Step machining

  • Drilling of bolt holes as per PCD

  • Chamfering

All machining is performed to achieve required tolerances and surface finish.

CNC Machining Operations
Drilling & PCD Accuracy Control
  • Bolt holes are drilled as per specified Pitch Circle Diameter (PCD).

  • Angular spacing is maintained precisely.

  • Go/No-Go gauges and calibrated measuring tools are used.

  • Hole alignment and perpendicularity are checked.

Drilling Facing Finish (RF / RTJ )

Depending on order specification:

  • Raised Face (RF) machining

  • Ring Type Joint (RTJ) groove machining

  • Surface finish maintained as per ASME requirements

  • Serration finish checked using surface roughness gauge

Dimensional Inspection

Each batch undergoes detailed inspection including:

  • OD, ID, thickness verification

  • Bolt hole diameter and PCD check

  • Hub dimensions and taper angle verification

  • Height and step measurements

  • Surface finish verification

Inspection is performed using calibrated Vernier, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and templates.

PMI & Additional Testing (If Required)

Depending on project requirement:

  • Positive Material Identification (PMI)

  • Hardness testing

  • Hydrostatic testing

  • Third-party inspection

All test records are documented.

Marking & Traceability

Each flange is marked with:

  • Size

  • Pressure class

  • Material grade

  • Heat number

  • Manufacturer identification

Traceability is maintained from raw forging to finished flange.

Surface Protection & Finishing
  • Deburring

  • Anti-rust oil application (for carbon steel)

  • Protective plastic covers for flange faces

  • Rust preventive coating if required
